Policy
Equality, diversity & inclusion
Our commitment to fair treatment, person-first language and accessible service for everyone.
Our commitment
Under the Equality Act 2010, we will not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. This applies to every client, employee, sub-contractor and applicant.
How we work
- Person-first language. We say "a person who uses a wheelchair," not "a wheelchair user," unless someone tells us they prefer otherwise.
- Accessible communication. Large-print, plain-language and BSL-interpreted consultations available on request at no extra cost.
- Reasonable adjustments. We adapt how we survey and how we communicate to suit each household.
- Fair recruitment. Vacancies are advertised openly with criteria based on competence, not background.
Raising a concern
