Accessibility adaptations, done properly, in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

Architect-led design, productised pricing, single point of accountability — for Scheme of Assistance and private-pay clients.

A warm, light-filled Edinburgh bathroom with a level-access shower and elegant brass grab rail

Three things that make AdaptScot different

Architect-led

Every adaptation is designed by qualified professionals — not retrofitted by trades. Design first, build second.

Productised pricing

Transparent fee ranges published on the website. Trade costs passed through with no markup. You see the same numbers we do.

Single point of accountability

One person owns the engagement from first call to 30-day post-handover follow-up. No hand-offs, no surprises.

What an engagement looks like

Five phases. One person accountable from first call to follow-up.

  1. Day 0

    Enquiry & triage

First call within one working day. Route and package confirmed.

  2. Day 2–7

    Site visit & scope

On-site survey with you. Written scope and transparent fee.

  3. Day 10–21

    Design & specification

Architect-led drawings, supplier inputs, and trade specification.

  4. Day 21–42

    Coordinated works

Quotes, deposits, scheduling, and a single line of communication.

  5. Day 42–49

    Handover & follow-up

    Walk-through, documentation pack, then 14-day and 30-day check-ins.

Edinburgh first. Scotland next.

Year 1 is focused on Edinburgh and immediate Lothian: tenements, listed properties, conservation areas, and the Scheme of Assistance. Wider Scottish coverage is assessed case by case, with planned expansion from Year 2.
